Since Russia invaded Ukraine, the trauma its citizens have endured has been monumental. Not only do they suffer from the trauma of war but grief and pain of losing loved ones, homes, jobs, their country, and their sense of safety.
Thousands of people living in Ukraine during the war constantly require psychological support. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to fully meet this need due to the lack of specialists. However, by providing information on basic self-regulation skills, like breath, it is possible to significantly improve the mental health of Ukrainians.
Through the nonprofit BreathLogic, Master Breath Teacher Laurie Ellis-Young and her husband, trauma psychologist Dr. George Ellis, have been teaching “The Power of Breath” to Ukrainian psychologists, military personnel, mothers who have lost sons, and regular citizens to support them through this nightmare. Feedback shows that this breath training has changed Ukrainians experience of trauma, providing hope and strength to carry on amidst the loss, grief, and fatigue.

Because of BreathLogic's last training, one of the participants has shared breathing techniques with over 3000 military personnel!

WITH YOUR HELP, BreathLogic trainers can travel safely this November to Ukraine border to bring "The Power of Breath" to those who need this intensive 5-day program. (The training must be in-country because men cannot leave).
WE CANNOT IMAGINE WHAT LIFE IS LIKE IN UKRAINE BUT TOGETHER WE CAN DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE LIVES!
Thank you for supporting this urgent, life giving work. We can't do this without YOU!

Breathing Techniques on the Battlefield
Two years ago we started with one person, Dr. Natalia Verzun, who began using BreathLogic’s breathing techniques for resiliency and self-empowerment. This soon increased to six people for an in-person training in Cyprus, who then shared with hundreds, including refugees, children, and even frontline soldiers. We never dreamed our training programs would be used this way!
Now psychologist, Dr. Oksana Ruda has instigated a campaign to expand this outreach to thousands. She and other psychologists (and trainers), have requested advanced, in-person training from BreathLogic so they may help others exponentially.
Your donation will help us provide this advanced training. Can we count on you?

FOREWORD REVIEWS by Melissa Wuske Jan/Feb 2022: “The book has a calm pace, augmenting the tone of its instruction. The pages are roomy with beautiful, restful botanical accents. Each chapter ends with breathing essentials: a key idea plus a BLIPP—Breath Literacy’s Instant Power Practice—to make sure learning goes from the mind to the body. Breath Is Life is a health book that shows that new life is as close as your lungs.”
